How Inclusion is Valued

At TLT, inclusion isn’t just a goal—it is one of the core values that helps shape the ins and outs of the organization. We believe that a community thrives when everyone is engaged and valued. Our commitment to inclusion ensures that all young participants have the opportunity to grow, learn, and contribute. Through the numerous leadership programs, we actively promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Every participant doesn’t just learn leadership skills, but to also work collaboratively with peers from different walks of life. TLT’s curriculum emphasizes the importance of empathy and understanding, equipping youth to become thoughtful leaders who appreciate diverse perspectives.

Experience

From my own experience working with TLT, I’ve witnessed firsthand how intentional the approach to inclusion is. The programs are designed to create a welcoming environment where everyone’s voice matters. My fellow interns were almost all entirely from different backgrounds. Participants are also engaged in community service projects that reflect their interests and needs, ensuring they feel a sense of ownership and connection to their work. While facilitators are dedicated to maintaining a positive learning atmosphere, free from discrimination. They foster respectful interactions and create space for open dialogue, which allows for participants to share their unique experiences and insights.
