Unlocking The Future Facilitator
Volunteer Application

We are seeking individuals who have developed strategies for coping with learning differences and achieved success in their chosen fields to serve as an Unlocking The Future session facilitator. This is a curiculum based program for 8th grade through College level students. Training will be provided.

Sessions are usually held in the late afternoon, early evening or on weekends.

Multi State Background Check required.

Facilitators will lead session content that may include the following course topics and work with Guest Speakers:

  How to cook

  How to grocery shop on a budget

  How to use a credit card

  How to say “No”

  How to jump start a car

  How to do laundry

  Basic home repair & maintenance

  How to budget & pay bills

  How to send a professional email

  Basic car repair & maintenance

  How to study

  How to read/understand medicine labels & dosage

  How to fill out a job application

  How to prepare a resume

  How to make doctor/dentist appointment

  How to balance a checkbook

  Understand contracts, for example apartment lease
